On Wednesday, oil futures advanced $3.10, or 3.3%, to end at the contract’s best settlement level since May 10.

The gains gathered steam in the previous session after a weekly government supply report showed that inventories were unchanged, compared to expectations of an increase.

Still, energy analysts at MF Global said that, “in the absence of any upside catalyst that can be considered a pivotal event, we suspect [Wednesday’s] move will ultimately be regarded as nothing more than a technical relief rally in what is still a down market.”

They added: “The increased volatility we have been seeing in recent weeks can make these kind of moves par for the course.

Possible support around 99.23 coming into 100 EMA on the hourly.

few people posted longs to me at around 98.40 as it bounced off of that last low at 98.20 an hour ago.
Anyone see any obvious reasons for a long entry there?

there was a nice 5min hammer printed at the lows.

Why are you not on July?

I noticed the hammer, but they got in a good 25-30 pips before that 5min candle had finished! obviously seeing things that i didn't!
