Watching and waiting

For now, concerns over potential flooding disruptions to major refineries have eased, even though the threat remains.

Refineries that comprise around 13% of total U.S. capacity are near the Mississippi River, and “presumably at some risk for reduced or suspended operations due to flooding,” said Daniel Morrison, managing director and senior exploration and production analyst at Global Hunter Securities.

Unlike Katrina, which left an indelible mark on the oil and natural-gas industry in 2005, “restarting these facilities in the wake of the flood, if necessary, should take days, rather than the weeks we saw after Katrina,” he said.

So “resulting supply shortages, if any, and associated high prices for all refined products should be a relatively short-lived event,” Morrison said. Read more about the challenges flooding may pose to refiners.

Quote from trader198:

did a breadown when I turned on my computer in the morning.
waited too long, thought it will go down to 89.68 (schizo's measured move).

so when it pulbacked to my ema, went short, but somehow my mind said, he he it dropped too much, you should buy, so I covered it with loss, but I hated to see loss, without any thinking, hit the button and sell again, damn it, this trade is totally a revenge trade. messed up a little, when it fell to 95.3+, I almost want to shorted it again. but I stopped, my concious started to work, bottom picking bottom picking, so I jumped in at 95.5+, that is a great trade.

when it started to fall off in the opening, I did a littlebit hurry, almost killed the trade when it hit 96, yelled at myself, why notdo bottom picking, follow my rules and signals, gald, finally Isaw the beautiful double bottom, did not add, to 99, I think themarket want to break 100, so dumped it there. then went short, thought it pullbacked too much, but did notrealized I should cover it when it hit my ema, tooearly to cover.

So how come you only made slightly over 800 ticks with one car?

And also, considering you have an over 100,000 USD account, don't you think trading just one car is cutting your edge short? Just saying.

By the way, all those be's and small losses I post in real time, they're just for kicks (like EMG's one ES point trades) I'm actually making 3 times the daily ATR, only I'm shy and I don't want to brag.

Oh, and shame on Visaria, Eddie, InvestVision, Nodoji, Kid, DonCorleone and all those suckers who "only" make a couple of thousands per car per day... in real time...

I think it was generally agreed in the other thread that his results were photoshopped? Apparently the spacing was wrong or something.
Only concern yourself with posters who post realtime calls (basically, the list you mentioned: Visaria, Don etc etc)
Thread is going very well at the moment. Like most long term threads, it blows hot and cold, but at the moment its a very interesting read. lots of good posters.

well done eddie

Thanks,
that win actually clawed me back into slight profitabilty on the day thankfully, which at least broke the 2 day losing streak.

Today has been better so far.
2 trades, +31 and +21.

Good luck today

i'm on the other side of that

I should have closed it the second I read that!
-20

offered me +24 which I really should have taken, but trying to let my winners run. Although, when I do that, it always snaps back the other way, lol
