CL Redux

Quote from BCE:

Just a feel for the pullback level. Plus it was below R1 a bit and in the upper range of earlier congestion.

I saw it as the place where pullback pivot players got long for the upside breakout, break of the 1:45pm ET bar high was 112.66, and in fact I'd gone long @ .64 off the 1-min. Makes sense for that level to get tested as a buy zone, and tight stop on that trade, too. Did I say "Very nice!"?

This last pullback may be a "we don't trust what BB will say" move.

ADD We may get more movement than usual in after the pit closes hours.

Great stuff this morning for sure! I got pummeled a bit on the afternoon triangle, just trying to chase the volume a bit as it tested back and forth. Luckily I didn't give up all that I had pulled earlier.

I'm trying to get set up and comfortable on Ninjatrader for my CL SIM trading. That way I can just post up the chart from there with actual executions on the chart. I think it will keep me a bit more disciplined if I know I plan to share with everyone.

I've made some silly mistakes, and found myself upping size to "make it back" I'm lucky that it hasn't crushed me yet (Don't want to lose all of those SIM $$$'s), but I don't take risks like that on the ES ever, so I need to find a way to crack down.

Yes upping size on CL to "make it back" can definitely crush you. I know it's easy to get into bad habits doing SIM trading even if the money's not real. This can carry over to real trading. I look at SIM trading as a good way to strengthen good habits which also carry over. You know all this already.

+1000. Because I consider myself regimented to the point of boredom on the ES, I've been using the CL as a way to blow off steam. I really think that I can do well on it if I just buckle down, so I might as well bare all and get serious about it sooner rather than later.
