what could drop this market? Gaddafi assassination?

In October 1993, elements of the Libyan Army unsuccessfully attempted to assassinate Gaddafi

An alleged plot by Britain's Secret Intelligence Service to assassinate Gaddafi, when rebels attacked Gaddafi's motorcade near the city of Sirte in February 1996, was denied by former foreign secretary Robin Cook

I slept in and during the 40 minutes that I B.S'd with my girlfriend I could have been out fo this PIG ..OIL.... anyway.. I am out.. down 543 on 350 shares in the UCO.. lol.. it is sure to fall now that I am out of it!
3 out of 3 overnight holds for 2 days or longer have been losers... I know i said this last time.. but that was my last swing at swing swing trading.. 3 strikes and I am out.. problem is that these losing swing trades.. even though the amounts are not huge.. they wear on you ... mentally.. it is easy to get married to them... they screw up any chance you ever had at doing intraday trades..

I lost $ 7,000 trying to swing trade CMG ..short.. $ 4,000 swinging oil short.. maybe I am just on the wrong side with my swings.. well I did pick some risky assets to short!

Sorry about your losses. Been there. It's hard. We're all learning what works and what maybe doesn't in any given market. We win some and lose some and hopefully learn in the process and do better next time. Onward and upward.

It seems that even if they offed Gaddafi his sons would just step in.

Bravo!!!!!

Thanks chaps. Probably the worst session trading oil in weeks. I wonder if the easy money/trades are over...

You know, it's not so much the losses but the constant whipsaws. Loss after loss hurts. I nearly didn't take that last trade.

When trading Countertrend against a strong trend, it is imperative to wait for the signal bar to close before you place your order, and then only enter on a stop at 1 tick beyond the bar in the direction of your trade (if you are buying, buy at 1 tick above the high of the prior bar on a stop).

hey guys and gals... this thread is one of the best on ET.. most of the people on here are respectful and try to stick to the point of trading rather than bashing. Yes i undersand not everyone always shows a trade, but how many trades do we think about and not take?.... a lot.. so I say keep up the great work.. and I agree.. BCE oil rally not good for stocks.

I have been wrong wrong and wrogn again in oil.. it is hard enough to try and forecast it in the next hour let alone the next 2-3 days

But you did. I'm the one that didn't take it. I was chatting it up with you here. :) Plus I'm doing some other work I need to finish which is a distraction. I was considering shorting at the PP at 103.23. Glad I changed my mind.

Do I at least get a cut for posting those bullish articles? Ha. :)
