CL Redux

Taking last 2 off from 84.28 at 86.45, looks a little long in the tooth.

Quote from startraitor:

I experienced a rare physical reaction as well being too (two) long as well. But all is well that ends well after a near vomit in the garbage can.

Taking 2 off for good measure at .51 and holding 2 at .28. The release tomorrow could take us over 86.

The main reason for gettin long today was pivotal point on the dollar. Looking good now. I still like LONG!

IMV, if you get 1, 3, 8 or 1,354 signals in a given day, you should take them all (not that I do :( ).

If you're usually getting too many signals, move to a slightly higher timeframe or make your conditions a bit more restrictive.

Picking and choosing and/or skipping signals just because you're putting on more trades than you'd like will probably impact adversely your expectancy and mess up your psyche.

Just my €0.02

YES!! I have a tendency to only play Ace,9 or worse every 3 times I get it I should just play it all the time if I can get in cheap.

Thanks for that.

I am planning on adding more filters and increase my confidence when I actually pull the trigger.
I am looking at 5 min and 1 min chart, I think timeframe is ok.
typically CL makes few nice moves a day e.g. today 1 nice move from 11:35 onwards.
if I can only grab 20 ticks of that move I think I should be happy rather than spend entire day making 20 trades and BE or worst lose.
I am ready to miss few good trends if I can catch some other few good trends.

cuz few things I have noticed in my style of trading
1) the more trades I do the more I lose ( or increase my chances to lose ).
2) the more trades I do , I lose more confidence , there is extreme lack of confidence before I pull the trigger.
