CL Redux

Blotto, I thought you were never wrong! And don't call out nd, you really don't know what created the pivot at 84.27 I have been calling out since last week?

If we get a close near 82, and 81.73 is taken out over night, where's the next support? 81? and then thunderous resistance at 80?

He was calling me on that scratch trade I didn't call here, because it lasted 30 seconds. At least I think that's what he was calling me on

Out 82.35, I consider that low 82's but I have been drinking too much vodka.
Isn't hindsight a beauty to behold, even if it lasts for only the next 7 minutes or so? :)

Anyway, I hope you folks cleaned house today. Just as a cordial reminder for those who are new to this thread, may I suggest that you visit the first post and read the posting rules. I hate to regurgitate the platitude, but try to post your trades in realtime. Keep in mind that you're doing this out of your own will. Nobody is pointing a gun to your head.

Moreover, I personally cannot stomach preachers and sermonizers. Stay away from needless condescensions and there will be no need for a pissing match.

Thanks for your cooperation.

Shorted when price pulled back from a lower high through the 20MA, but exited b/e when there was no follow through. I need follow through out of narrow ranges or I'd rather bail and re-evaluate.

Well managed. You are reading the flow very well. No harm in those trades if you can cut them and they don't cost you anything, but as you learn more you will stop taking them.

The market was never going to drop from that location. Upside had to be faked first.

Bailing and re-evaluating - perfect. Someone once told me that one of the final transitions to continued success was cutting trades you are unsure about immediately, rather than waiting for them to move against you.

Pivot? 84.27? I've been calling a weak market in CL all week. I gave a short trade above 85, another sell soon after, and stated that if I was trading longer term I'd look for 82, which was hit today.

I didn't say I'm never wrong. I have been known to have 30+ winner runs, and wrong trades /calls generally occur less than 5% of the time.

I'm not "calling out" anyone. I'm simply asking questions of people as to why they made certain decisions. I am sure they will benefit from thinking more about this. Anyone with too thin a skin to tolerate a few helpful questions is in the wrong business.

Good Evening Crude Traders! Didnt know Crude has a journal

Good evening emg. Are you going to post some calls here? I would enjoy watching the reaction to that very much indeed. I didn't know it had a journal either until the thread starter asked me to post on it to prove I wasn't full of it...

emg, if you start trading this thing with 5-tick targets, I'm gonna reach through the screen and slap you :D
