This market doesn't seem to breakout every day. So be patient and let it come to you. This is what I tell myself, not often enough sometimes

Not even that. Look at today's chart from 11:30 to the close. Unless you trade well within the noise with an ultra short term chart, it's impossible to profit. The noise is the same or bigger magnitude than the "trends". Very tough (for me at least).

Although the breakout was what I had been anticipating for the last week or two, it's almost redundant if you day trade. As a daytrader, all you need is a steady momentum with a coherent trend.

What's not tough these days? Unless you're a buy-and-hold Buffet-wannabe, the current climate proves hostile to traders regardless of what you trade. However, CL does give you the two essential ingredients noted above: momentum and trend (for the most part). I don't think I could ever go back to that ES dog after flirting with this bitch.

Nah. I just go back to simulator till I figure out the noise/short term thingy. I'm not going to donate anymore. I figure I have no edge right now.

I did ok. I was buying the dips from 1130 forward. Buying the 60-70 area and selling the 85-95 area. Only played the long side. Just put a stop at the 11:10 low 8132. Just cant be greed on the long side after the huge rally yesterday. After a big rally or selloff look for minor profit taking from the winning side of the previous day
