Hello crude traders,
heech said after the close on Thursday he heard a rumour regarding Bluegold from "his ICE pit guy".
The first news I could find about Bluegold where around 7:30 am EST on Friday where they denied the rumours.
Another thing was when Japan Airlines had to liquidate their crude short positions due to bankruptcy. I couldn't find a piece of news regarding Japan Airlines or Crude that mentioned this.
So my question: is there a news source that reports about rumours regarding crude oil realtime or neartime? Or do you have to have contacts to the pits to get this kind of information as close as it gets?
I mean this is a very important part of predicting the strength and duration of crude price moves.
TIA,
Dukem
EDIT: I'm quite sure the BlueGold rumour was known by the pit session open on Thursday, maybe even earlier. Look at the moves happening after 9 am EST.
Also the price move starting Dec. 23rd IMO seems to be tightly related to Japan Airlines and some kind of "frontrunning" to squeeze the shit out of those JA shorts which had to be covered right away at any price.
