CL Redux

Quote from saliva:

I still have a lot of problem reading the price action for CL. In truth, I can't make heads or tails on some of them. They're outright absurd. For example, you have prices steadily rising and then all of a sudden, boom, it drops like a brick for no apparent reason. And it happens so fast, it catches you off-guard. This would never happen in ES, where you would often see prices retest the support level before it breaks apart.

but you have something that I don't have and that I desperately need.

if I have the thing that you have, I will be on the way to success.

Hey, do CL crowd take lunch? Unlike ES, I don't see a noticeable drop in volume.

Well, it feels damn slow now for sure. Git yer ass moving, ya only have another hour! :D

I do not trade from 10:30 CST (11:30 NY time) till 12 noon as I have found that to be the lowest volume (delta flatline) and the time when moves are totally unpredictable. If you look at the 1 min during these times it looks just like a barbed wire fence. lots of long wicks in both directions.

looks like a push up in the low 78 range is immanent. i will look to short once she gets there

I know its kinda after the fact which gets discounted here but my boys played hooky today and we had a movie date - so i had to leave immediately following the trade. Nonetheless, I did short at 7802, 7803 and 7805 - out at 7767.

I have noticed an interesting phenomenon in CL with 00's. The first run up to or down to 00's after being away for more than 2 hrs almost always gives you a nice bounce. The second time it appears to be an exercise in stop running and then a nice bounce. After that its anybody's guess.

Double zero's have been very profitable for me.
