CL Redux

yes I would steal his wallet.

I'd been sim trading CL for months and couldn't get myself to trade live. I couldn't get over the mental block of trading something in which my average stop loss was going to be 2-4 times what I was risking trading my favorite stock, POT. Also the fact that each CL was equal to 1000 POT and I was trading 200-400 POT, so I had a mental hurdle that seemed insurmountable to me despite great success in my sim account.

My brother is a certified NLP practitioner. He worked with me once in late March and I was able to take the plunge live. I then explained my problem with letting winners run and he did another session with me and it seems to have helped me a lot.

In any field there are snake oil salesmen, but the basic concepts behind reframing, modeling and anchoring are quite sound.

I doubt that you would. I was just trying to point out that NLP is to psychology what homeopathy is to medicine.

No I actually would! :D

hey... I use homepathy. It made my poop normal?

Potential victims of homeopathy should be asked to first place their affairs in order before undergoing a prescribed regimen. :p

Was down around 1k, made it back mostly, to -167.40.

There's a lot of money to be made/lost in this market!

inventories this morning was crazy, but the primary reason I was down 1k I believe was in my exit strategy and being focused on a small time frame trying to scalp every move, rather than stalking/cherry picking. I was stalking/cherry picking since lunchtime and the results look much better

Maybe it will be useful to trade every day as if I am down 1k from the start :)

Sorry, but he may as well have performed acupuncture on you. Both can provide a placebo effect but neither has a scientific basis.

Today, 25 trades, expectancy of .42, SQN for today is 2.08. These results are tradeable but not a big statistical edge. Not bad for my first day on CL though. I really like this market, it moves me.

Just as I don't care why the market moves, only that it moves and that I follow the price action to my benefit, I also don't care why placebo effect or acupuncture or homeopathy work, I only care if they work. Placebo effect has been scientifically proven again and again and again, therefore we know it's effective more often than not, much like lower highs and higher lows...
