OK, I couldn't hold on, took profits @ 84.95 because of that previous support @ .92 that seems to be holding.

tell me where in your trading rule book does it say "seem to be holding" as a reason that your trade is wrong???

I'm not complaining, because it's very hard to fully trust myself when only trading 1 lot. I've seen internal support levels act as a trampoline on CL and really believed there'd be a decent re-shortable bounce there.

You could still be right. Very right ( on the early exit i mean). Usually when I hear myself use words like "seem" or "looked" it means im anticipating. I *try to* react. All of us are different.
