CL Redux

Quote from schizo:

According to CME, "Trading in the current delivery month shall cease on the third business day prior to the twenty-fifth calendar day of the month" and it states that the March contract settles on 2/22. But there's no mention about the time.
Always 2.30 eastern time. What I meant in the last post is that the majority of people (95%) in pit move to the next month.
Thanks on the numbers s/r numbers. This is just a play on the api #'s. Covering at 7707 or in that area

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- U.S. inventories of crude oil fell by 63,000 barrels in the week ended Feb. 12, the American Petroleum Institute reported on Wednesday. Analysts polled by Platts expected a 1.65-million-barrel build in crude supplies for the week. The API also reported distillate stocks rose by 1.283 million barrels, while inventories of gasoline rose by 1.428 million barrels. Analysts polled by Platts expected an increase of 1.5 million barrels in gasoline stocks and a decline of 1.6 million barrels in distillate supplies. Crude oil for March delivery fell 9 cents, or 0.1%, at $77.24 a barrel in electronic trade.

Translation: We don't know shit about the actual supply and demand of oil. Still short... J0

I covered at 7754. Dont feel like babysitting 2night. See you guys in the am

Sure looks like it is going to be one of those day in CL.

Any little drop is short squeezed almost immediately to more than 100 percent of the drop, like now where we just went from the close to low to the high (new) in a few minutes.

We are back in a five to seven dollar range 72-80 with CL testing the highs so often versus testing any lows. The volume is low on the run up considering the move down volume.

Don't know about you guys but these types of moves make it very hard to get in and out and I may just wait for that one crazy move to play if at all because of expiry and the moves.

All other sectors and futures were down and only CL is up, crazy, good luck to eveyone as that is not going to hurt today.
