I've invited Slartibartfast to the thread to see if he would like to discuss solutions to the gun problem we all agree the US has. He's been very, uh, emotional on the subject in other threads. I'm sure he has some great ideas we can discuss. Perhaps he can succeed where others here have only fleshed out abstract ideas.

What is there to discuss? Since access to guns in related to gun violence, I would think the solution is clear. Restrict access. You're all about answers except the ones you don't want to hear.
No, I'm just trying to get someone to explain how they would "restrict access". Restricting access is an idea only. It's like saying "Cancer should be cured" but yet not providing any idea in how to cure Cancer.
Well, this particular cancer can be "cured" by just observing what other countries with fewer gun casualties are doing. Why reinvent the wheel?
And what procedures done by other countries are you looking to apply here, specifically? I'm open to discussing how these laws/procedures would be implemented. I'm hoping you can talk to them.
