CIA Veteran: "Putin Days are Numbered"

‘Putin’s days are numbered’: CIA veteran (msn.com)

Jack Devine, a CIA veteran with over three decades of experience in the agency, says Russian President Vladimir Putin‘s days are numbered.

Devine, who once served as the CIA’s acting director of operations, believes the Russian president will be overthrown by members of his own government, possibly by this time next year.

The Russia-Ukraine war is nearing its two-year mark, and Putin’s refusal to end it, despite mounting casualties, will lead to his eventual downfall, Devine says.

Yeah and Hillary Clinton said this july 8, 2012. “It should be abundantly clear to those who support the Assad regime their days are numbered,” Clinton told reporters on the sidelines of a conference on Afghanistan in Tokyo on Sunday.

11 years later and Assad has a death grip on the country. These experts have a pretty lousy track record.

I keep hearing that Putin’s days are numbered. I tend to think that he will survive longer politically longer than most people think. He has had decades of time in Russia to arrange a political apparatus that will prop him up in power — and a history of eliminating those who are a danger to him.

Not sure if you vote in US elections but who would you vote for or who are you voting for 2024?
Yes, I vote absentee. 2024 is going to be a very tough call, Trump is garbage, Biden is nowhere near progressive enough, and I won't throw my vote away on some nobody, e.g. a "what is Aleppo" kind of guy.

Very provocative statement. I would think Russia has been worse for Ukraine considering they invaded and assaulted Ukraine but hey, who am I to judge?
The geopolitical analysts of the world knew, twenty years ago, that NATO expansion would provoke Russia. Try to imagine a fantastical scenario, something crazy like, oh I don't know, Russia putting missiles in Cuba—the US would go apeshit, maybe bring the world to the brink of another world war.
