Jack Devine, a CIA veteran with over three decades of experience in the agency, says Russian President Vladimir Putin‘s days are numbered.

Devine, who once served as the CIA’s acting director of operations, believes the Russian president will be overthrown by members of his own government, possibly by this time next year.

The Russia-Ukraine war is nearing its two-year mark, and Putin’s refusal to end it, despite mounting casualties, will lead to his eventual downfall, Devine says.

I think all the power players in Russia are waiting to see who the next US President will be.If Trump wins Putin will be fine.If anyone else wins Putin will likely be out.The war likely ends in early 2025 as Russia cant sustain if The US keeps helping Ukraine so the winner will be decided by who the next US President is.

TBH I don't really mind if Putin stays, he's built himself an isolated power structure of "yes men" where he can't make effective decisions due to not receiving truthful information from bullshitting subordinates, and a new leader would most likely be a lot more effective. But you do have to admit that there are probably more people than dear Prigozhin plotting in the back against Putin due to the poor results of the invasion thus far.
