cia actually noted russias population at 109 million in 2050 but they already failed as russias population is obviously growing again. Russia gini is lower than americas or chinas which means their gap between rich and poor is lower.
 
Remember oil price cycle is on the upswing so things are under wraps in Russia. When commodity cycle is downwards then real flaws and faults will come out in Russia. Their economic destiny has been oil prices and no alternative industry has been developed or cultivated to diversified revenues.

Bottomline is to look at the averages. Russia is still Tzarist country where one or few are kings and kingly and rest are slaves worth nearly nothing.
