I guess, to be fair, the incumbent president's party needs to paint the economy rosier than it actually is in an effort to get people doing things to improve economic conditions and to help prevent further weakening.

But, they also need to take actions to solve our crisis's such as getting entitlement growth under control and putting us on a sustained path to get the debt under control. As it is, neither are being accomplished.
