Based on what evidence?

Sedition includes language that incites others to rebel against the state. This board is full of cowards that speak that language.

As for the evidence, membership in hate groups in this nation have risen substantially since November. Combined that with a deteriorating economy and the coming end of the war in Iraq, and I see domestic terrorism increasing in the next several years.

Somehow the point that Americans now have the right and power to change their government through voting in new elected officials, the courts system, and the power of impeachment, constitutional amendments, powerful lobby groups to influence government, right wing media to influence both government and public opinion....something that if John Adams and company had, they would not have gone to war.

You have representation with your taxation...do a better job of convincing other Americans to vote in the leaders you want...

Obama is asking for a revolution/divorce from his policies. Would you stay with your wife if she kept spending a couple thousand on your credit card each day after you were already 100k in debt?

Don't kid yourself. Secession would likely win a majority of votes in much of the South. If it could be achieved harmoniously, probably significant majorities.

Obama will bring us to the point where raw military force is his only option for holding the nation together. Since most of the military is from the south and most military bases are in the south, that could be a problem.

We're talking about legal constitutional change. Why is that so threatening to you? The fact is, we're just not that into you. I'm happy for California to be California, I just don't think the hardworking people of texas should have to support you.

There is nothing seditious or treasonous about advocating constitutional change. Let's hope it can be accomplished that way. Surely you would prefer that to violence?
