Chronicles of an Idiot

Where's Starsky? Good to e-meet you. Really appreciate the kind comments.
Sorry, but you have to earn your T-shirt here. Best to let me know your size though.

Sorry, I didn't recognize GL from the back and I had never seen him with such a pointy hat. Starsky is not feeling so well lately... I usually just wear the major idiot size unless they have a grand master idiot size.

I don't use 8-3-3. I did play around with this setting though and the results looked pretty good. I will go back and try to take a look at it a little better.
I really think the method and not the indicator settings are the most important.

You misunderstood me and it may just be my way of expressing things. I wasn't referring to the 8-3-3 in relation to your method, only that it's a very interesting number and I plan to study it further. I agree with you totally on the value of the indicators, they aren't nearly so important as most people think. The key is the fact that you are watching them so intently and staying focused on what you're doing. The focus has more to do with the success than most people will admit.

My entry is very subjective and I use an additional filter. It does not have anything to do with the number of bars or any high/low. The pages are starting to accumulate here, but you might want to re-read. I have posted a lot of charts and I tried to circle the entry candle on most of them.

If you decide to hang around for a while, we can talk about the trades during the days I trade. I think that will be the best way to understand what I am doing here.

I've looked at your charts several times and was just wondering if you'd noticed any real difference in the number of bars between high/low when the market just makes a sudden move in the direction of your trade. Just a casual observation on my part... As far as me trying to trade and type replies at the same time this just ain't gona work for me. My focus is more like a tunnel that I look through and doesn't allow a great deal of time for other things.

THIS IS A GOOD TIME TO REMIND YOU THAT I AM DEVELOPING THE SYSTEM HERE IN THE JOURNAL. DO NOT MAKE ANY TRADES BASED ON SOME IDIOTS POSTS. I AM GOING TO CONTINUE TO EVALUATE THIS WITH EVERYBODY AND WE CAN ALL MAKE OUR OWN DECISIONS ON ITS WORTHINESS AT SOME POINT DOWN THE ROAD

Not to worry, I have no intention of trading a new method at the present time. I fully understand that you are trying to develop your method as you go and would like to wish you well on this endeavor.

Welcome and I hope we type some more.

THANX VT and YOU CAN COUNT ON IT...

Doing my best with this. Once I go back to live trading the system, my post will be less frequent and not in real time most likely. Too complicated for this idiot too. It's surprising, but this is helping me stay focused on the "definte purpose"

Night, Night Idiots.

Probably, just a temporary technical difficulty.

This one still works and explains what's happening. Having a bit of shuffling going on over there.

Anyone know how to try to duplicate these charts in e-signal? How do i get the stochastic to show up in the main body of the chart where the candles are?

Hey BO,

Your post came and went... Good job of what I saw but what did I see? Was that an 8-3-3 on there? hehehe
:p

LOL...wow you're fast! I made a mistake on that trade. I posted
it as a 4-1 profit, but it wasn't. Actually, I took my profit to quick.
And it was a "fade" entry which only confuses things for this
thread. Yes, it is the 8-3-3 stoch. Here it is again, but just
ignore it...hehe

Just happened to be there at the right time I guess... I'm still hanging with a 982.50stp from 988.75. This can't last much longer and I'm thinking about bailing... And I told VT that I couldn't do two things at the same time. It is kind of hard on my focus though.

You're not saying you went "long" at 88.75, and your stop loss
was 82.50 are you?
