...it seems I nevertheless have a power which can force you to do something.

You certainly do. I am not skunk proof and the stink that you put out can definitely injure me if not kill me so I have to put my electronic ignore shield up. But I appreciate the fact that you consider me important enough to comment on my statements whether or not you get a response from me. I am sure you will be rewarded in Atheist Paradise for taking on the heretics against your religion of Atheism.

However, you should know that my statements were of a defensive nature. I really don't care if you want to believe in atheism, devil worship, or voodoo for example, but if you or others attack my beliefs and the beliefs of my friends in order to convert us to your belief system or your beliefs threaten me and my friends physically than I reserve the right to respond.

Here watch this video again Stu. When you get your head on straight after watching it feel free to make comments on my posts for which you cannot expect a reply from me.

ATHEISTS: How To Make Their Heads Explode

Good luck with your Atheism crusade Stu and goodbye from one of top admirers. :) Happy commenting on my empty goal posts. I have been told that scoring on an empty goal, without a goalkeeper, in hockey is very challenging as in debating.

An extreme theist's ineffectual , illogical, unsupportable and confused religious assertions, panic builds his own finger trap .

pissed off for God

Quote from stu:

Any God worth their salt could make it possible for no evil to exist and for that satisfaction of having no need for fear or hate of it also.
If It can’t, or can but won’t , why call it God?

Stu, this is where your crazy train really starts to go off the tracks. Mark my words:

Go(o)d does not make or break barriers...(period).

"Evil" is essentially the unnatural use of (Go(o)d-given) mind to power a faith-fueled fantasy-land O make-believe. The net result is what we fondly call "the world", oblivious to the fact that it's our own little world inside our own infinitely powerful mind. In your own little world, you can think anything you want about Go(o)d without consequence. There is no interference whatsoever. You are given an infinitely long rope to hang yerself. There was never a barrier stopping you from using your imagination to think what you want. Nor is there a barrier to stop you from hangin yerself. It's up to YOU to take down the barriers (defenses) you have put up that shield your mind from the Truth. The Truth is willing to help you do that. That's as far as the Truth will go to be your savior. But that's far enough...and that's good news.

Christ!

Caution Deities of Atheism (like Stu and Vhehn) watching this video may prove hazardous to your health!

whereas Bernard -the ineffectual- Richards uses very silly vids for his "Truth"...

..but fundamentally you both are extremely superstitious, which essentially is what your respective religions are all about

Quote from stu:

Superstition. Hmmm...

Sounds like self-deception.

From wikipedia:

Self-deception is a process of denying or rationalizing away the relevance, significance, or importance of opposing evidence and logical argument. Self-deception involves convincing oneself of a truth (or lack of truth) so that one does not reveal any self-knowledge of the deception.

Self-deception lowers cognitive cost; that is to say, it is less complicated for one to behave or think in a certain manner that implies something is true, if s/he has convinced her/himself that that very thing is indeed true. The mind will not have to think constantly of the true thing and then the false thing, but simply convince her or himself that the false thing is true.

Cognitive dissonance is an uncomfortable feeling caused by holding two contradictory ideas simultaneously. The theory of cognitive dissonance proposes that people have a motivational drive to reduce dissonance by changing their attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors, or by justifying or rationalizing them. It is one of the most influential and extensively studied theories in social psychology. Dissonance occurs when a person perceives a logical inconsistency in his beliefs, when one idea implies the opposite of another.

So stu, are you so smart, or, are you just avoiding cognitive dissonance? I can assure you, if you earnestly considered alteratives, you could find yourself temporarily quite disturbed/bothered/troubled by the idea that your world is opposite reality.

To this effect, Thomas conveys something Jesus said: "Let him who seeks continue seeking until he finds. When he finds, he will become troubled. When he becomes troubled, he will be astonished, and he will rule over the All."

Mentality is fundamental. Have you considered that your belief in earth, wind, water and fire is some kind of magical groupthink?

From wikipedia:

Groupthink is a type of thought exhibited by group members who try to minimize conflict and reach consensus without critically testing, analyzing, and evaluating ideas. Individual creativity, uniqueness, and independent thinking are lost in the pursuit of group cohesiveness, as are the advantages of reasonable balance in choice and thought that might normally be obtained by making decisions as a group.[1] During groupthink, members of the group avoid promoting viewpoints outside the comfort zone of consensus thinking. A variety of motives for this may exist such as a desire to avoid being seen as foolish, or a desire to avoid embarrassing or angering other members of the group. Groupthink may cause groups to make hasty, irrational decisions, where individual doubts are set aside, for fear of upsetting the group’s balance.

It seems rather comical that "atheists" would herald Epicurus as a champion against G-D, as it is a point in fact that Epicurus believed in "gods".

Your assurance is ill founded. I’m better placed to assure you about my own earnest considerations than you are.

I find nothing disturbing, bothering or troubling in your idea that my world is opposite reality. I find no reason to be disturbed/bothered/troubled by something there is no evidence of in the ramblings of a hippie.
On the other hand I can prove to you and you can prove to yourself, the reality of everyone’s world from a 1000ft drop off a cliff

On the other hand , no one should need make any assurances to Thomas , who might be astonsihed, but would no doubt be troubled for a short time at least finding out for himself; As in everybody's world, the understanding of reality which is soon proven by simply jumping off the cliff edge.
