This is something that A GAY 47 doesnt understand because he has never had to pay a bill.
There are alot of people out there who have gotten themselves into financial shit based solely on their own stupidity, and they are backed up on all their bills even though nothing has really changed for them from pre-2008 in terms of earnings.
But all of a sudden they hear about a neighbor or someone they know who lost their job and they have a wonderful scapegoat so they can avoid the reality that they were the ones who fucked up.
It goes like this:
"Geeeez bob(the neighbor) just got laid off, if it wasnt for this terrible economy i wouldnt have the 18 grand of credit card debt.... (even though the debt was racked up over the past few years)
All of a sudden every persons financial woes have a scape goat, regardless of whether or not it was the economy that caused it. After listening to the way most people talk about their finances, and life in general, and listening to what the liberals love to feed them, i have realised that people will do everything they can do avoid responsibility for their own actions, so they hear the economy is bad and thats where they lay the blame, people who can give you a realistic assesment of
themselves are few and far between in this world. I find that this is one of the biggest differences you will see in a successful business person/trader vs. your average every day person. Successful people generally are very good at taking their own inventory, while most people who are complete failures are not.
Guess whose going to pay the price for every single person who doesnt want to take responsibility for their own financial woes come election time?
Quote from Maverick74:
It's not a function of percentage. It's the mood of the country. They are only numbers. There really is no difference between 8% and 9% unemployment. I can count on one hand how many times in the last 100 years we have had a number this high. Do you really think the public cares if the rate is 8.7 vs say 8.3? Come on man, you are really ignorant. Same with the black unemployment rate. Do you think African Americans care what the "stated" rate is. If you go up to any black man on the street, he will probably tell you the unemployment is 50% for blacks. Because that is what it "feels" like to him. You just don't get it. Maybe when you get out of college and spend some time in the real world you will understand.
