If you really think about it, a guy who grew up overweight and got hazed about it all through his life is probably going to be one of the most socially tolerant and non-judgemental folks you would meet. He would draw many independent votes, and he would be able to muffle the right-wing bible thumpers - I don't see Christie putting alot of stock in gay marriage bashing or that type of think.
