Chop

Hi all

I would like to ask more experienced trades of their way to recognize a chop. I am new to trading and get a lot of false signals. I sort of can tell by now when the market is choppy but would love some other advice. I trade TF, 1 min timeframe. Thank you

Find the last high and low pivots of past several bars, if price stays within these confines, market is in chop.

You can also use a 9 EMA and if EMA is cutting thru middle of the bars, that is chop.
