I think airworthy P-51's start at around $1.1 Million up to maybe $2 M.

Corsairs are relatively rare.

And the truth is unless you're a high time pilot with very high performance tail dragger time. You'll probably kill yourself in it anyway.

NOW go buy one so I can get in a ride first. :)
 
Hey Lucrum, you post more pics of your build, and you will get the first ride. I am probably at the point of being able to buy a P-51, but I have 2 kids to put through college yet, and I have to admit as much as I'd like to say screw them, I won't. I may go kick dirt on my Pops grave for not buying with his friend. Just kidding, I am the reason he didn't do it most likely. I am pretty sure his friend is one who refurbed a couple long ago, and his kids are probably kicking themselves as had he held onto what he bought he would have made a fortune, but oh well.
 
Not to mention, I would probably be a hole in the ground. Actually I know I would get the training to fly, but would whine about the cost.
