China's Cosco wants to buy a 35% stake in Hamburg harbor

This is an invasion!! That port of Germany is the sovereign territory of Germany and shouldn't be for sale at whatever the price. This is no different from marching a bunch of army to that port and commandeering it, the only difference now is China marching in with a bunch of money and the threat of supposed "crashing of the economy". LOL Once that port is sold, it's gone, it's owned by the Chinese forever!! Do you want China to own a portion of your country?

Trust me, it's not pretty. China is doing this all around the world.

If this can happen with Australia with it just renting the island, imagine what it can do now it owns part of this port. If this port is really in some kind of financial trouble, then it needs to examine its operation to find out what's the root cause of the problem and fix it instead of getting some quick fix by getting money from China. Getting quick money from China is not so pretty either. Just ask Sri Lanka and many other countries that got themselves indebted to China over infrastructure projects proposed to (aka forced upon) them by China:

The same mistake with relying energies on Russia solely or mostly. If China ever attacks Taiwan or take HongKong, then the cost for taking over Hamburger port would be higher than what they would get now or any benefits from it. The risks far higher than any possible gains. It is only a matter of time, so a time bomb for Scholz.

Nobody has a crystal ball. It is still yet to be seen whether it's the globalists who are short-sighted or the protectionists (it has nothing to do with nations unlike what narrow-minded China thinks) who are forward-thinking. So far I do believe it's the globalists who have been short-sighted and that's what you think as well. According to you, the opening up of the Chinese market has made America very rich. LOL

Has such happened also to the US itself when it invaded and started wars with other countries recently?...
Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, ... come to mind. Has the US been sanctioned by these same countries who currently cry the most? Nope.
Or can we expect that the US will be sanctioned by all countries if it ever attacks anew another poor country?

Well just like what this consulate general who dragged a protestor into the Chinese consulate and beat him up said, "it was emergency times and it called for emergency measures. Our colleagues, our allies were under attack".


I mean if this consulate general can drag somebody into a place to commit violence on him just for shouting some slogans and drawing some cartoons (reminding you of the terrorists who beheaded journalists who drew cartoons of Mohammed?), Why can't USA do something to protect democracy and liberty? It was USA and the West's duty to protect democracy and liberty for all. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

You misunderstood me. I meant the still necessary co-operation with china (Autoindustrie etc). I´m totally against selling the port to China.

Bottom line. No part of any country is for sale. If China really wants to do business in good faith, it wouldn't need to own any shares of any country's sovereign land. If it uses any threat of non-cooperation on any other industries as a threat, then that's definitely not doing business in good faith; that's bullying and Germany would have even more incentive to protect its own land. China has numerous ports as well that Germany ships to, how about Germany owns 36% of these ports as well?
