China warns US against war with Pakistan

Yusuf Raza Gilani, Pakistan’s prime minister, During his recent state visit to Beijing, … he lavished praise on China. “We are like one nation and two countries,” he said, comparing Pakistan’s “Islamic socialism” to the thoughts of Mao Zedong. China, he enthused, “was the only voice of reason in international affairs.”

“Islamic socialism,” hmm. Many of us have been warning that terrorism may be Islamic down at the level of those stupid enough to blow themselves up for Allah, but the ones at the top are not Islamic, they are communist, using religion to promote communism.

Leaders such as Bush and Obama are not stupid, nor do they lack information. Considering that members of their own cabinets and advisors have been helping China build up their industry and military, one would have to conclude that this is where the answers to our questions lie: The benefit of global “socialism” is the goal (of course, in the United States we call the goal by a different name: “spreading democracy throughout the world").

I agree with the estimate of China's immense "militia." There are tens of millions of young men and women moving around the countryside looking for work, living in temp shelters, footloose and with a deep anger about their fate of being shut out of the ancient, sacred family tradition they share with all Chinese, The unattached mobs of young men have always been tender boxes. This is so immense it is hard to grasp its implications. Since China is allying with Russia, Pakistan, Iran, and central Asia with all of that oil and gas, it's a potentially great global shift, if they can solve their bureaucracy problems.

Thanks for the good articles. The Chinese et al. will probably buy gold quietly and slowly to avoid rapid price hikes. It will be hard to detect directly, but people like Soros and Faber might have sources to watch. This could become a massive move toward a new currency base to escape the U.S. Fed's tsunami of trash paper and its Global Inflation Bubble.

I have seen nothing in any other news reports about this so-called security guarantee, so I find it somewhat dubious.

BEIJING: China has warned in unequivocal terms that any attack on Pakistan would be construed as an attack on China. Beijing has advised Washington to respect Pakistan’s sovereignty and solidarity and this was formally conveyed to the United States at last week’s China-US strategic dialogue and economic talks.

War with Pakistan??!! Who is crazy here, the Chinese or us? If Obama is even thinking about attacking Pakistan he needs to be removed from office NOW!

These stories are all sourced from Pakistan, which makes them highly dubious. There has been nothing in the US press about it, and I guarantee you that China threatening the US over Pakistan would be a huge story.

Fucking ingrates. We give them billions every year, only ask that they keep an eye on their nukes and not roll out the welcome mat for every terrorist organization under the sun.
 
This could be a win-win for the US. If we attack Pakistan and wipe out the terrorists there, we win. If the Chinese get aggressive over it, we can tell them to take their US bonds and use them for wallpaper. Win-win.

It seems inevitable that at some point there will be a nuclear exchange involving some combination of Pakistan, India, Iran, Israel, probably the US and maybe even China. If it comes to that, we should throw a couple on North Korea too just because they are so annoying.
