What's really scary is that while every country has people who's grasp of international relations and political history is rudimentary enough to lead them to make gross misjudgements, in China the government's propaganda machine intentionally distorts the historical record and encourages xenophodia and jingoism. there were justifiable inflation fears till july - just recall commodities' prices. it is easy with 20-20 hindsight to say he should have expected the worst credit crunch in 100 years - get back to reality.
by the way he is turning hawkish again - so you know what happens unless there are clear deflationary signs after commodities' declines are priced into cpi...
when circumstances change your policy changes in order to achieve your objective. this behavioral attitude is easy to read for ordinary folks - and that's what matters for monetary policy with inflation targeting.
for myself i always understood what ecb said - but no so with fed.
fed is a total mess. at least after the last meeting we know a bit more than usual, i.e. all is allowed - total intervention and fucking up the markets.

To some extent? It was US corporate greed that threw our own qualified peope to the outsourcing wolves. It was done with the consent and encouragement of the US people who wanted better earnings and cheaper goods. People like Pat Buchanan, one of the few on the right with real intellectual integrity and deep understanding of history, were not at all popular with the GOP, infact he was destroyed by the GOP and he was the best of them in terms of intellect (too bad about his Christian zealotry).
I think the only reason Indians get USA jobs is that they agree to work for low wages/salary. Americans demand high wages.Quote from Mvic:
