Sino-U.S. tensions are likely to severely disrupt the global tech sector, according to a piece in the Financial Times. Analysts told the paper that Chinese companies are trying to bolster their own supply chains, due to the threat of U.S. components no longer being available—but that the R&D involved in this drive only serves to heighten American fears of China pulling ahead by building on Western technologies, thus exacerbating the situation. Fuck China. The question is do we want China calling the shots globally in 10 years? Or do you want America.

Many Liberals would say China because they hate America and want to see Her knocked down about 10 pegs = traitors.

Their education level is way above ours already. As they start dumping money into r&d, we'll be playing catch up in 20 yrs time.
 
China's leadership is very focused. The U.S. Leadership in the last few elections has not been as focused and has spent a lot of time in partisan battles.

Given current trends, it is inevitable China surpasses the U.S. Economically and militarily. This is not necessarily a bad thing. My perception is that a strong China means the deep state will be partially held at bay with their apparent agenda of reducing our rights. The deep state really does not want a civil war in the U.S. with a strong China and with some other countries looking to reduce the influence of the U.S. in their affairs.

China's focus on education makes them formidable, but our relative freedom gives our citizens more initiative and inherent problem solving skills.

The U.S. Geopolitical position seems a bit overbearing and has not yet adjusted to current, much less future geopolitical realities.

The best outcome would be to recognize China as our peer and treat them accordingly. Just because China and the U.S. has potentially conflicting self interests, does not mean we can't work things out and be friends.
