China posts its lowest quarterly growth in 27 years as the trade war drags on

  • China’s economy grew 6.2% in the second quarter from a year ago, the country’s statistics bureau said on Monday.
  • Analysts polled by Reuters expect China’s economy to have grown 6.2% from a year ago in the April to June period.
  • The GDP figure comes as the world’s second largest economy remains locked in a trade war with the U.S.

and Hangseng went up significantly from ~28100 to 28510 ie 1.4% increase.
Don't bother to check whether market is rational, irrational or solvent and don't read news seriously.
Very important to trade based on what you see on the chart and react accordingly.

6.2% growth in just a quarter and that's the slowest growth in 27 years??!! Oh wow, western countries would be so happy if they grow that much in a year!! No wonder China is so rich and its people are going all over the place buying up real estate properties and jacking up the prices leaving the locals homeless. Hell trade war is not enough, trade nuclear bombs is what we need. LOL It's too bad China still has majority of its economic infrastructures and markets locked behind closed doors, limiting foreign access to them. It can go to USA buying up zombie companies and defrauding USA investing publics hundreds of millions of $$'s but you can't go to China to trade in its market without paying hefty commissions, getting slapped with regulations and rules left & right and then get kicked out outright.
 
By my opinion 6.2% GDP grown in Q1 is excellent economic output. I dont see that there is some sort of worry to such course of economic development. It is western countries which should be really concerned as there is currently no chance that they will come even close to these levels
