China - Portfolio Managment Regs

Hi there, is anyone here familiar with Chinese regulations on investment managment? I'm shortly moving to Shanghai with my partner, and have a few investors wishing to invest with me. Does anyone have any information on the Chinese regulatory system for managing money from within China?

For example, if I were to register a company 'offshore' would acting as investment manager from within china require some form of authorisation if investors were also offshore?

Very grateful for any replies.

It looks like this could be a bit of a 'grey area' at the moment?

Does anyone know where best to get a definitive answer on this?
