China mocks Trump missile strike after Xi leaves US: ‘A weakened politician who needed to flex his muscles’


China’s state-run news agency waited for President Xi Jinping to leave the U.S. before unleashing criticism on President Donald Trump’s Syrian missile strike.

Although President Xi was visiting Mar-a-Lago when Trump ordered the strike on a Syrian air base, Xinhua waited until China’s president was safely out of the country before mocking the military action.

“Xinhua, the state news agency, on Saturday called the strike the act of a weakened politician who needed to flex his muscles,” The New York Times reported. “In an analysis, Xinhua also said Mr. Trump had ordered the strike to distance himself from Syria’s backers in Moscow, to overcome accusations that he was ‘pro-Russia.'”

Over the weekend, Trump declared that the two leaders “made tremendous progress”

“I just want to say that President Xi and all of his representatives have been really interesting to be with,” the U.S. president said following the meeting. “I believe lots of very potentially bad problems will be going away.”

The Chinese president is essentially saying that Trump has no bargaining chips.

Trump is just a placeholder president until a real one gets elected.

Really im uber pro Trump based on what? Ive criticised him for tons of shit most specifically because i think hes going to blow a gigantic hole in the deficit, i didnt want these missile strikes in Syria, but if it stays at just that i dont think its that bad, but i think Obama and Bush have shown that Regime change in the middle east clearly isnt a good idea.

China, Russia and Iran have long thought Obama was a joke. So our standing hasn't really worsened.

Aw c'mon Putin had to go heavy on the propaganda and start a war in the middle east as sanctions made the masses fidgety back in mother Russia.

Unlike Tony Stark, my livelihood relies on the U.S. being strong, and i have paid tens of thousands in U.S. taxes, and tens of thousands in fees to U.S. regulatory bodies, i no longer own any real estate, and no longer pay U.S. taxes, and no longer make the same amount of money, but 99% of my trades are still on the U.S. market so i have a vested interest in the U.S.

Also unlike many others i have a very specific reason for despising Obama, him and all the other jokers who thought up and passed Dodd-Frank were probably the biggest clowns in U.S. history. Dodd-Frank did nothing to break up big banks, infact after Dodd-Frank most of the small trading firms got put out of business cause they couldnt offer the leverage the big boys could. The big banks happily took these people on, So now we have an even more concentrated banking system, where all the power is concentrated in the hands of the ones who fucked up it all up the first place.

Trading firms like mine werent the ones who wrecked the economy we all had our best year in 2008, Lehman and Bear Stearns blew up the economy because their traders werent trading their own money.......

but my firm got put out of business, and i had to go offshore to get the leverage i needed, and eventually they just fucked me out most of my networth, so tell me how Dodd-Frank solved the problem?
