The bat dog was popular on the interweb a while back. Maybe not eat bats but his doggie parent may have done something with a bat.
Inbreeding, done by our fine fellow humans.

I wouldn't eat dog (knowingly as its possible anyone who has eaten Chinese food may have eaten dog) but find it a bit hypocritical to criticize The Chinese for eating dogs when we eat cows and pigs.Eating an animal is eating an animal

A taiwanese peer of mine once explained eating cow isn't very kosher in that side of Asia as it's seen as a work animal (water buffalo). Much like we don't like to eat our horses for instance. Both are done by respective cultures obviously. I imagine dogs aren't much use as work animals as I don't see much herding going on in that side of the world.
Humans eating other humans is okay also? Humans are just animals. Myself, I think a dog is closer to being a human than a cow or a pig. For instance, I would have a hard time keeping a cow for a pet.
