China is doing quick fixes to come out of a 50+ year sleep
they are buying all available commodities on the open marekt, both surplus and pledged assets and as such, are driving up the costs all over and causing the inflation pandora to come out just like the smoke monster on LOST!
what China will have to do is just like every other country and nation,
1) devalue their currency to kill this inflation
2) develop their own natural resources
3) be market sensitive like all other countries, to price, demand and destabilizing the marketplace
when their 3 Gorges Dam finishes coming online (in stages presently), then their ability to follow the US in converting their fleets to electric motion away from combustion will be easier upon them.
oil will collapse to the point where they will be giving it away.
the US needs to release their global domination plans, where in they let fly Superman, Batman, Fantastic Four, RocketMan and Wonder Woman (yeah, even in arab lands, without a burkah)....
iow, mass conversion from combustion engines (gasoline) to electric motion engines, both through 100% manufactured from start and conversion kit change overs...
then oil will plummet and never see these levels again

Yup, they don't care.
But neither do we - since Walmart keeps paying them to make the stuff and we keep buying it.
So maybe if some companies didn't send the manufacturing jobs over there so they could make stuff cheap with their tons of cheap labor and careless pollution and we didn't shop at Walmart and buy the stuff they wouldn't be polluting as much.
You do realize that to devalue a currency by it's very definition signifies to increase inflation? And that by making point #1 about fighting inflation by devaluing the currency, it was exceedingly difficult to read points 2 & 3.
