It's funny, when it comes to al queda extremists, for example, we readily accept that they're ideologically driven and don't blow themselves up for money. Yet we don't think that scientists are similarly ideologically driven (by Science), instead we think they're in it for the money merely. Why? Because we're the "soon to haves" and we want to protect today the money we'll have "someday". Like they say in poker, if you're a bluffer you tend to think everyone else is bluffing too.

Yup. And when one is a selfish, money-oriented person, motivated only by personal gain, one thinks everyone is that way. This is why many of the deniers think the way they do. They can't fathom that scientists have personal and professional ethics or do what they do mostly for the love of science.

Just like the Koch bros would blow the future world up for money now. The Koch bros are just like terrorists, in the guise of libertarians. Because certainly their efforts, like that of other GW reality deniers, will result in future casualties.
