China's loss is America's gain - after that ban the US became the biggest producer of Bitcoin in the world. The miners just moved to the US, as well as Kazakhstan and Russia. No wonder BTC is surging.

The government has her own reasons/interests, they don't do what the people ask.
If they would, they would ban taxing people.
