There is an energy-equivalence principle in physics that proves that free energy cannot be had. The only way is through the Mr. Fusion™ Home Energy Reactor.
So China may think they are hot-shit (no pun intended), but what they seek is impossible.
Fleicshmann and Pons tried to pull that wool over our eyes many many years ago, and they proved to be frauds. Because they could not fight physical laws.

Fusion powers the sun. It is not free energy that would violate the first law of thermodynamics.
