It's unlikely that this story sticks to Hillary because, well, because she's a leftist. Now if this was some republican guy...OMFG, it would be the end of the world as we know it. Can you imagine if we heard a story about some guy who voluntarily, (not a public defender assigned the case), took on a case to defend a child rapist, acknowledged that they thought the guy was guilty, and then bragged about getting him off. I mean the head of Maddow would literally explode along with every other leftist.
This story isn't about whether a criminal deserves a right to trial, they do. This is about a "champion" of women's rights, a "champion" of fighting violence against females of all ages, then seeking out a child rapist to defend, and high fiving everyone when she gets him acquitted. And of course, the left moves along. Nothing to see here.
It may not stick, if only because this kind of stuff is SOP in the legal profession. I am sure they will trot out some law professors or legal ethicists to say her conduct was exemplary.
I say harp on this story nonstop and force her to keep explaining it. She has a history of making mistakes under pressure. If she is asked about it enough times, she will blow up and say something offensive.
Of course, the Romneys and McCains of the party will demand that no one mention anything like that. Can't get our hands dirty trying to win the presidency or prevent a monster like her from getting it.
