Quote from fred1:
did you use the cunningham t4 platform?
any feedback?
actually that was a helpful hint of you because i have never heard about this company and the t4 solution seems to be java based meaning that it will run on a modern operating system
best direct has high fees. the coms that they quoted are a joke
Yes I use Cunningham T4 every day. It is great.
I believe that it is C-sharp though, not Java.
For PFG Best Direct, all you have to do is ask and they will come way down on commissions if you have a decent account size. Lower than IB as I said. I have an account there.
You have to know how to negotiate. Do not ask them what commission rate they charge. Instead, tell them what commission rate you want to pay and what your account size and trading will be like.
If you want to mail me the size of your account, I can help you figure out a commission rate and I will send you a contact at PFG. (I am not affiliated with PFG or any broker).
However, PFG's free platform is very basic and sluggish so most probably will want to use another platform than Best Direct (they allow you to use quite a few). I use the Cunningham T4 account for quotes and charts so I do not need much in the PFG account other than order entry.
