Toyota's assembly plant in Venezuela has more than 2,000 workers, and has been in the South American nation for more than 50 years.
Attempts to reach Toyota's local office weren't successful.
Venezuela's auto sector is in tatters amid recurring labor problems that have led to a lack of productivity. Analysts say many auto workers hope their company is nationalized so they can become de facto government workers and enjoy the extra job security that comes with that status.

Didn't unions and the gov't also "nationalized" automakers here in the US?Quote from libertad:

Quote from TraderZones:
didn't these people learn anything from what communism (East Europe, former Soviet countries, China) did to their ecomies for 50+ years? I saw the other day, that the average Cuban earns something like $16 a month, and need to get govt approval to change jobs.
The Chinese eventually learned, there is nothing worse than a state-owned enterprise, and opened up the economy to private enterprise.
Yea, the US is so bad, 1 million Americans sneak into Venezuela every year.Quote from mgmaggie:
and pray tell what do you call the USA?
State and Government owned. The US is always slinging shit but forgets to look in the mirror.
The USA commits more crimes on race and the poor. Just need to look around.
