Sure wish there was a way to short Venezuela (and I been saying this for a year)

Unless Chavez takes a total 180 from his wealth destroying ideas they are headed for a long hard road....

I expect this to be one of many robberies by the government until there is nothing left for the left.....

Feb. 28 (Bloomberg) -- Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez ordered the National Guard to take control of rice-processing companies after he said they refused to properly supply the market.

Chavez made his comments today on state television.

Wow, the government taking over a private company because they are not properly running their business and meeting the needs of consumers.

Why that is crazy talk.

Good thing we live in the Good Ol USA

That crap would never happen here.

I mean first of all the American people would never elect a lefty loon who is a megalomaniac like chavez.

We are not so stupid as to fall for slogans and populist stump speeches that mean nothing but sound inspiring.

We would never allow our votes to be bought by promises of a new world were the government meets your every need and the evil capitalist who have oppressed the laborer will get their day.

And no leader would ever think of ruinning the economy by outright manipulation and confiscation for political gains.

At least Texas has in their constitution that they can break away from the Union if the people deem it necessary. It's looking more necessary every day in 2009...

Nope, not anymore.
That was voted away years ago.
We can't split into 5 states either, altho at one time we could.
No matter, we're about to change our name to
Texico.
