Elite Trader Chat is not working.
When will it be up and running again?
I posted a personal thread offering people to chat in my room until ET chat gets fixed. It was not an advertisement of services or anything else. Traders in ET like to get together in a chat and talk about the market and ET chat is not working right now.
My personal thread was deleted without notice.
How about finding a solution to the ET chat which has been down for ages instead of simply deleting people's threads????
p.s. I have been a member here for many years. I never been angry but deleting my thread without emailing/messaging me is not the most polite thing that was done here.
Have a wonderful day!
Most ET members are already using free chat rooms outside of ET and these chat rooms have often been discussed in-depth without a moderator deleting them except for those posting chat room alternative linked to a fee-base website, website with advertisements along with the poster being linked to it.
There's also been multiple threads here at ET about how to create your own chat room for free on the IRC Othernet server, FinancialChat server or any other IRC server and many ET members have done that too with their online buddies from ET.
All of these rooms are free and moderated by ET members or former ET moderators.

The above is why most ET members do not complain about ET chat being down because most are using a much better chat that's much more reliable...
Using them for many years.
In fact, Joe himself knows about some of these chat rooms because he use to go visit them to market info about guest speakers schedule for chat here at ET.
However, I have not heard of ET having guest speakers in several years and that may be due to the fact that ET management realized most members are chatting elsewhere.
In addition, I remember some ET members discussing moving to twitter and
some did because I've recently recognize a few (only a few) ET members alias names.
If more ET members do decide to move to twitter...I highly recommend they use the following chart upload source to make it easy to share charts.
http://chart.ly/
Another option is that ET management setup a special thread here at ET for ET members to upload their charts from various chat rooms or twitters...
It'll be big time advertisement linking EliteTrader.com to social networks all over the world and that in itself will make several of ET sponsors very happy or attract new sponsors.
Last of all, I've only seen one ET sponsor setup on twitter and it's an inactive twitter account (most likely someone pretending to be the sponsor...that type of twitter abuse is easily fixed).
Here's several well known market resources setup on twitter to show ET management or ET sponsors what they too should be doing.
http://twitter.com/CQGInc
http://twitter.com/RealTick
http://twitter.com/cnbc
http://twitter.com/cnnmoney
http://twitter.com/financialtimes
My point is that ET management and sponsors aren't even setting up shop on the fastest growing social network and many traders are joining that network...
Don't get left behind or join the show too late (twitter, blogs, facebook et cetera).
