I used to trade individual stocks. Then I had an epiphany. Now I only trade the indices, in particular the ES.
God bless you, trading bond future spreads has to be one of the hardest things to do manually. I'm familiar with some guys on the Treasury desk at Bear and its frightening how easily they can jerk the market around with the push of a button and put their algorithms into play. Definitely works to your advantage when you have a few billion to work with.
