Thanks. I'm not interested in creating a web app. I want to use someone else's app that will allow me to code my own indicators in something fairly simple (e.g. JavaScript or even EasyLanguage). My interest is in trading not creating software.

Regarding my comment about UHFT using Java, I meant compiled Java run under the operating system, not JavaScript run inside of a browser.

I have refused to accept this and somehow managed to trade with excellent results on my MacBook Pro. (I don't use any virtualization or emulation software.) If Mac OS X didn't exist, I'd be running some kind of Linux.

The UNIX and OS X Version are the same. If you download the manual installation file, you will see that the file offered on the Mac download page is exactly the same as the one on the UNIX download page.
 
there is no reason u can't trade on a mac....i am running parallels, powering 3 screens at 2560x1440 and doing heavy and intensive calculations in real time. all my trading software is built for windows. it does not matter if your mac is powerful enough. i could never go back to windows ever.

Actually OS X is "version" of UNIX. There are many flavors of UNIX and while they are very similar, the are not identical. Depending upon what you are doing, those differences may make a difference.
