What's the difference? They look nearly identical.

I think the best indicator is no indicator. You need to start from price. Once you master price, then you can move on to whatever you want. But you likely will not because you know nothing precedes price.

Thanks for validating lol... OBV on a fast chart without zero-based scaling doesn't add value, it's mostly a mimic.

You do understand that OBV is interpreted by watching the trend (up, down converging and diverging with price itself), not each individual particular time frame output, right?

Anyway indicators obviously are not leading (well one is) but are to be used as confirmation. That's all. Use them or not.

Price without a transaction of whatever size (aka volume) is just wasted space in the display case.

All about divergence/convergence if you are using for signals or whatever.
And your example lines could have just as easily been placed on the price bars directly... No OBV needed.

OBV is price and volume. More power to you if you can only trade using price, I use all the tools - especially time.
