CL is just so choppy and wild for me to trade with same "system" I use for ES ot NQ. Have you thought about sim testing your approach on those rather than CL. The swings on CL can be so wild that 2 stop outs can be painful. I know it is attractive with its high value per tick per margin but just a thought...

CL is very volatile, though I trade it, but I don't always let the price hit my target before I exit, once I see a strong sign of reversals, I always exits immediately.

Me too. I like CL because, when it moves, it moves. And the market opens at 8am which is good for me.

RTY, 1 contract. Using some new methods.
RTH linear RTY range... 13.3 points ($665)
15 trades. Largest DD $145 (2.9 points)
NET, after commish... $425 ... 63% of tradable range.

I had another trade based on the 4 hour chart, i did not expect it to close today so that is why i did not mention it earlier, however we have just reached my take profit.
The trade lasted a little over 6 hours.

RTH linear RTY range... 14.0 points ($700)
8 trades. Largest DD $110 (2.2 points)
NET, after commish... $285 ... 40% of tradable range.

FWIW... older methods signal RTY short @1730. target 1, 1727, target 2 1718.5, stop @1731.6
