Central Bank Equities Buying

Who talked about end of world ? All I am saying is Secretary of Treasury has been asked to prop up the stock market at all cost, which he has been doing quite well... Or some firms with a whole lot of cash sitting around not invested are buying loads of SP lots while selling individual stocks and preparing plays, either way a big play is being made

Some head made a comment about how I am a doom and gloom type of guy, but we will see at end of this year who was right in his PUTs, only Central Banks have this much cash not invested already, or suicidal enough to go balls deep in current corporate debt environment. You claim to be so smart and typed few times in different threads I need to go read Economics 101, at end of year we both show are trades and balances of trading account, we'll see who's the doom and gloom guy

I never said I was "so smart", in fact I am probably pretty average compared to the others employed in the field. And yes, you do need to read something formal on economic theory, I'd suggest one of the bank CB primers (btw, if it were a university text it'd be probably something like Money and Markets, not Econ 101 which mostly deals with things like supply/demand curves). At this point, you are a typical example of someone who's been wondering around a library unattended.

Sadly I can't do that, for various reasons. If another 2008 or even 2015/2018 type year happens, I'll expect to do very well by the sheer nature of my strategies.

Sorry, are you referring to the current positioning of the speculative players? The last report's I've seen everyone was piling into equities, primarily because of the whole goldilocks scenario (no more hikes or Fed balance sheet unwind, growth outlook is ok etc). So "2019 is gonna be a good year, all aboard". Seems like people are still underlevered and might chase the market to the upside, especially the long-short guys (since they are all closet longs).
