Census data, America still generally segregated- by choice.

My neighborhood went from 80% white and 20% black to %65 black and %35 white and now it has reverted to 75% white and 25% black. I guess that not every white person is fleeing in terror of the invading black masses. Maybe they didn't get the memo?

I live in a suburb of Detroit and actually a small number of whites are actually moving back to the city of Detroit. Most of these are young whites who probably do not have children yet. With Compuware and Rock Financial moving downtown plus some smaller firms and the Casinos...some whites have moved to downtown Detroit.

Whites have also been buying up homes in some neighborhoods at dirt cheap prices and fixing them up. In a down economy owning a home for $6000 and not having a monthly mortgage, must be worth the risk as they see it.

Maybe they all have CPLs (Concealed Pistol Licenses)??? Lol.
