It was bad, you can see a post to savoir that I paid 6 figures $ amount to the IRS state and federal. The first number is not a 1

I get it. So you probably paid 40%. So on the "over 500K", you netted let's say 250K-400K, depending on other incidental tax breaks. Who the hell are YOU to complain? Be grateful!

Sheesh! I'd kill for that return! I could pay a lot of bills with that net income. You a spoiled brat or something, or would you rather earn just the federal poverty level and get food stamps, just so you do not have to pay tax? What is your problem?

I consider myself a portfolio manager since I manage our crypto portfolio investments

Managing the crypto assets portfolio dictates having to sell cryptos which could involve BTC's according to many factors, some of which is for risk management and real-life situations across short term, mid term and long term durations

Sometimes it involves taking advantage of opportunities, i.e. CEL or other crypto assets

That does not make me a non-hodler of BTC's which I have said I will never sell all Bitcoins unless it's an absolute life emergency

If it makes me a trader, I accept it

I'm ok paying the taxes, don't want to go to jail. It's surreal having so much in the bank I never imagined I could have. It's also surreal to see IRS take that much a few days after filing

To be honest, I feel relieved as it was causing me anxieties before filing taxes

Those were returns because of the bull market. This year is a bear market. Enough said

I feel bad on one aspect. I see MSTR call LEAPS and I could have used some of that taxes to put a position, but now I would have to use cash that's meant to be for surviving this bear market which could lasts years

That kind of impact is the only thing that is not good to dwell upon. Otherwise, Uncle Sam needs to be paid his share or there will be consequences

Managing a portfolio and portfolio risk kind of requires that you do a little trading.
Buy and hold is a common management practice. I can understand that but managing risk requires doing something besides buy and hold.

It's all semantics. Just call yourself a portfolio manager. That way you can do whatever you want with out being labeled. Trade, buy and hold, hedge,etc. Lots of flexibility.

The objective is to increase your wealth, anyway you know how, and you shouldn't be affected by anything I or any other ***** in an internet forum says.

Of course by putting your opinions out there you invite a little debate. Us *****'s will be there to keep you in line.

Thread has not been updated, but the rumor on Celsius insolvency is still going strong, CEL now down to 40 cents

I put a position on MSTR LEAPS call options so I'm actually going to pass on buying CEL tokens at 20 cents because if it turns out to be true, crypto markets are going to crash hard

Celsius provides liquidity to hundreds of crypto institutional traders and Celsius has big positions on defi staking such as Ethereum staking, already rumors of stEth going down to 0.95 Eth relation

For anyone with a position on cryptos assets or trading, it's probably a good idea to keep an eye on this Celsius situation
