CDC confirms Texas patient is first case of Ebola diagnosed in U.S.

I read an article a few years ago that claimed that Ebola could potentially become pandemic. At the time there was no active Ebola anywhere in the world and I scoffed at the idea that governments would allow air travel from infected regions into their countries.

Doh.

The world needs a good pandemic. Conservatives would be thrilled to get rid of all those troublesome colored people (and elderly people and disabled people and poor people of whatever color). Of course, they'd have to mow their own lawns and clean their own pools, but there's no free lunch.

I said some time ago that we appeared to be reliving the 14th century, and lo and behold.

Something about government spokesmen telling not us to worry about a disease, with a 90% mortality rate.
Just doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy feeling.

But if this starts being a racist or homophobic disease (meaning blacks, women and/or gays are more susceptible) . . . well *then* it will be a HUGE #@*&ING DEAL!!!!
