CDC confirms Texas patient is first case of Ebola diagnosed in U.S.

Very irresponsible for this nurse to get on a plane, TWICE, knowing she had been exposed while working on patient zero. She knew that she was in the group that was supposed to "self quarantine". My opinion. Should she survive, some time in a jail cell would be appropriate.

It's ironic that the left is always lecturing us that we have to follow science not politics. So now, when we have a deadly threat, a real threat not a fantasy one like they speciliaze in, they follow PC politics instead of basic science.

BINGO!

I have a better idea. It involves rope.

US steps up response as Ebola worries grow
http://www.wral.com/us-steps-up-its-domestic-response-to-ebola-crisis/14083599/

and our stepped up response consists of -

"President Barack Obama directed his administration to respond in a "much more aggressive way" to oversee the Dallas cases and ensure the lessons learned there are transmitted to hospitals and clinics across the country. For the second day in a row he canceled out-of-town trips Thursday to stay in Washington and monitor the Ebola response."

I bet Ebola is shaking in its boots.

To be fair - it was reported in the news today that the CDC cleared the nurse to fly on a commercial airline. She contacted the CDC and got their permission.

From an article -
"The revelation that one of the hospital nurses was cleared to fly on a commercial airline the day before she was diagnosed raised new alarms about the American response to the Ebola outbreak in West Africa."

If only that nurse with a fever had called the CDC for instructions before flying to Dallas. What? She did? Several times? And they told her to go ahead and fly?

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/ebola-nurse-called-cdc-several-times/http://www.cbsnews.com/news/ebola-nurse-called-cdc-several-times/

"The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that Vinson called the agency several times before flying, saying that she had a fever with a temperature of 99.5 degrees. But because her fever wasn't 100.4 degrees or higher, she didn't officially fall into the group of "high risk" and was allowed to fly."

What type of retards are running the CDC?
